I am very happy last week is done and over with. Probably one of the most stressful we have had in a long time...
It started with me going to the dentist Tuesday with a pretty bad toothache. Turns out I had a cavity that really needed attention, once I get into my 3rd trimester I can't have any dental work done unless it is an absolute emergency. So back I went on Thursday for a filling (this was my third appt with them in 2 weeks). Yippie, I spent the rest of the day double checking to make sure my face was still there.
On top of that last week was probably the coldest week of the year, and my car was protesting that fact. Nick's car went into the shop Wednesday and got A LOT of work done, more than we expected. So when he got up Wednesday to drive my car to work it wouldn't start. He ended up missing a whole day of work...And after Nick's Dad and Jesse trying to jump my car that night it still wouldn't start, so as soon as Nick's car got out of the shop, we had mine towed to the shop, and its still there!
And the cherry on top of it all was when I came home Wednesday I found that I had left the library door open enough so the cats got in there. Normally this isn't a big deal, but we hadn't had time to take our Christmas tree down yet, so the cats did it for us!!!! In the end we only lost two glass bulbs and two Hallmark ones that we think can be repaired.
We are very grateful for coworkers and family members that gave us so much help last week. Amanda was nice enough to give Nick a ride on Thursday so he didn't have to miss another day of work. Nick's parents were very generous and let me borrow their van so I could go to my dentist appt Thursday morning. Just proof that when you are a member of the body of Christ there are always people that will do whatever they can to help you. And of course we are happy that our baby girl has been just fine through all of this. I find myself getting anxious and stressed when stuff like this happens and I have to tell myself to calm down and let it go because when I am stressed I am stressing her out too.
*Sigh* Right now I am counting my blessings, and am very happy that the temperature has gone up into positive numbers!!!!!!!!!
A Merry little Christmas
