Valentine's Day 09

Saturday, February 21, 2009
Since Valentine's day was a Saturday this year Nick and I decided to drive to Corning for the day. We spent most of the morning driving and at the Corning Museum of Glass. The only pictures I have are from the museum, and there aren't that many because the batteries in my camera died after an hour or so...

The flame working demo was cool, in about 10 minutes this guy took those rods of glass and turned them into a little calf. Very interesting.

This was the only shot I was able to get in the gallery before my batteries completely died. Nick and I thought this "thing" was pretty neat.
Unfortunately I don't have any pics of the other demo we watched, but it was neat to see how a glass pitcher is made!
After the Museum we went the rest of the way to Corning for lunch at Panera Bread, So yummy! If you have never eaten there then you are missing out!!! We spent the rest of the day browsing and shopping...It was the weekend to get deals on maternity clothes apparently, I came home with much more than I thought I would. We tried Ruby Tuesday for dinner, which was good but because of the holiday, it was an hour and twenty minute wait for a table. The food was really good though, we split a double chocolate cake for dessert, and I think I almost ate the whole thing myself! From there we buzzed over to Walmart for our last stop and came home. It was a fun day but very exhausting. I was still tired the next day!

High wind warning:

So apparently our swing can't handle the high winds we have had today. This morning right after Nick left it blew over, taking my birdfeeders and the painting scaffold right with it. Thank the Lord the scaffold wasn't over to the left another inch or our neighbor would have a broken window!!! Odd thing being I never heard a thing, I just looked out the window and the swing was gone!

The baby bump!

I know this isn't the best picture of me. what can I say, Nick was my photographer and I really didn't know what to do or how I should stand...
Oh well, this is at 25weeks, hard to believe its been that long already!
