Busy weekend

Sunday, May 11, 2008
I am sitting here, getting in some time with Nick and the TV before going back to work tomorrow. Our weekend was very full. I got up extremely early Saturday, got ready and went up to Houghton and watched my sister Naomi graduate from college. That was a very happy and teary-eyed moment when they announced her name and she walked across the stage.
Nick spent the morning at the church, working with others for the "Spring cleaning day."
When we both got home, we did some cleaning, then I went with Nick on a service call in Almond, and we went from there to Hornell. Our landlord is going to help me put in a small vegetable garden, and maybe some violas. So we bought some seeds at Walmart, we'll see if I can keep them alive and maybe we'll have some peas later in the summer!
Then we bought some groceries at Wegmans (I LOVE WEGMANS!!!), and came back home.

This morning we got up and went to church, hurried home afterwards and fixed a mother's day lunch for both Nick's parents and mine, as well as my Dad's mother. We sat and chatted for a while, it was nice having everyone all around one table. That doesn't happen very often. Naomi came by later after everyone had gone. We gave her some leftovers and chatted before she headed down to my parents in PA.

And now here we are. I'm a bum on the love seat, Nick is sprawled out on the sofa, scratching Darcy's ears. Life is good. I have washed our towels, the dishwasher has been run, and it is very peaceful in our little apartment...I feel very blessed tonight.
